Pedestrian fatally struck vehicle on I-684 southbound in North Salem
The accident with possible injuries happened just before 2 a.m. on the southbound side of the roadway just north of Exit 8, Hardscrabble Road.

A man was struck and killed early Tuesday morning by a vehicle on I-684 in North Salem.
State police say the crash happened around 2 a.m. on the southbound side near mile marker 24.3.
Investigators say the man was walking in the left lane when he was hit by a southbound vehicle. It is unknown at this time why the man was walking on the highway.
