Hundreds of angry parents packed into an East Ramapo school board meeting Tuesday night demanding fair treatment for minority students.
The meeting was moved to Kakiat Elementary School in Spring Valley to accommodate a larger crowd.
Before the meeting, members of the school board were served with a lawsuit by the activist group "Advocates for Justice."
They say they are suing the board for financial mismanagement, claiming that the board overspent on its legal bills by $2 million - money that they believe should have been spent in the classroom.
Members of the school board did not respond to the lawsuits presented to them.
