Police in Dutchess County say they arrested an organized Brooklyn theft ring that has been committing crimes across the Hudson Valley.
Police say three men in their 20s were caught Tuesday filling garbage bags with about $1,800 worth of electrical equipment at Home Depot. Officials say they also assaulted a store employee and led police on a chase that damaged two other vehicles.
The suspects are in Dutchess County Jail and have been identified by authorities as part of a violent street gang called "The Rich Bosses."
Investigators determined that the suspects are the same men accused of stealing up to $8,800 worth of electrical equipment from the same Home Depot last week.
They also face similar accusations in the Village of Port Chester and the Town of Ulster.
Investigators say the car they were using is a Hertz car that was rented using a fraudulent credit card and identity.
