A Connecticut man was killed in a Thursday afternoon crash in the Town of Dover.
The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office says it happened around 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of Route 22 and Route 55.
A Chevrolet pickup truck on Route 55 was preparing to enter traffic on Route 22 when the pickup collided with a tractor-trailer, according to officials.
The pickup's driver, 74-year-old Joseph Hogan, of Sherman, Connecticut, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening.
