Dutchess County officials: Inmate faces extra charges for assaulting corrections officers

The Dutchess County Sheriff’s office says a county jail inmate is facing additional charges for assaulting two corrections officers.

Julia Marcinak, 28, assaulted the officers when she attempted to escape from custody at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital last month.

The officers were treated for minor injuries, according to officials.

Marcinak was being held at the jail on robbery and criminal possession of a weapon charges stemming from an earlier arrest.
