Federal agents and local police say they have inflicted a significant blow to a major heroin operation plaguing the streets of Middletown.
More than a half-dozen suspects were brought to FBI headquarters in Goshen Tuesday morning after a sweeping raid. The men are accused of distributing heroin in the Middletown area.
An FBI spokesman tells News 12 that the men were rounded up as part of the second phase of their Hudson Valley Safe Streets Task Force. The task force rounded up 14 suspected heroin dealers in November and is helped by number of local police departments.
According to the FBI, one suspect is still on the loose.
All the suspects face conspiracy to distribute heroin charges.
