DOT warns drivers to not crowd snowplows on the road

Plows can’t stop quickly, have large blind stops and can kick up a lot of snow, making it hard to see.

The state Department of Transportation is warning residents to take precautions when you see a snowplow on the road. 
The department urges residents to not crowd snowplows while driving.
Plows can’t stop quickly, have large blind stops and can kick up a lot of snow, making it hard to see. 
The safest spot to be is at least four car lengths behind the plow where the road has been freshly cleared.
