A police dog is being credited with helping capture a Middletown man who fled police after a routine traffic stop.
Police say Shawn Judd, 20, was arrested after failing to stop for officers when they tried to pull him over for failing to signal during a turn in the Town of Wawayanda.
Officials say Judd fled his car, but a police dog tracked him down and found him hiding in a crawl space behind a house on Oak Lane in Middletown.
Judd was arraigned for a number of charges including marijuana possession and sent to the Orange County Jail.
