Doctor says Travis Barker’s pancreatitis is a “very, very rare complication”

Reports say the drummer was diagnosed with pancreatitis after a colonoscopy.

Famed musician Travis Barker is fighting pancreatitis in the hospital.
TMZ reports that the drummer for Blink-182 was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
Earlier in the day, the 46-year-old tweeted the phrase "God save me..." His daughter also posted on Instagram to ask for prayers.
Reports say the drummer was diagnosed with pancreatitis after a colonoscopy.
A doctors who spoke to News 12 says is an extremely rare side effect to the vital procedure.
"It's a very, very rare complication. In fact, there's probably ten cases at the most described with colonoscopy it could happen with a complicated one or a lot of abdominal pressure," says Dr. Shireen Pais, Endoscopy Director, Westchester Medical Center.
So far there's been no statement from Barker's representatives.
