The Department of Motor Vehicles will be getting a tech overhaul to make operations easier for you.

Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) announced the launch of a multiyear project aimed at replacing 50-year-old technology.

Hochul stated that the changes to the systems and software will provide DMV customers with more efficient and secure services.

The DMV has contracted with the software company Fast Enterprises for the upgrades.
