Dozens of people took part in Disability Mentoring Day across the Hudson Valley Wednesday.
In Putnam County, placements ranged from working with lawyers, accountants and highway workers.
Participants of the program have either developmental or physical disabilities.
Organizer Tina Cornish-Lauria, of Careers for People with Disabilities, says the goal is two-fold: reminding hiring managers about the capabilities of people with disabilities and showing participants what different jobs are available.
