Connecticut gas prices stabilize as prices rise nationally

Hundreds of demonstrators gathered on the campus of Rockland Community College in Suffern Sunday night in a show of support for Israeli's ongoing war against Hamas.

They also called for the immediate release of hostages held by Hamas.

Many of the demonstrators carried Israeli and American flags in a visual display of the bond between the two nations.

Police officers were out in force to keep the peace at the event that was supposed to also include pro-Palestinian demonstrators.

Many of the demonstrators also arrived for Rep. Mike Lawler's regularly scheduled Town Hall meeting with constituents.

News 12 was told the meeting was closed to the news media to protect the privacy of those who attended.
