Bruce Bendish has become the second Republican to join the race to be the next Westchester County District Attorney.
Bendish is a defense attorney now in private practice in Elmsford.
He also spent 14 years as a county prosecutor under DA Carl Vergari.
Bendish wants the spot that opened up last month, when former DA Janet DiFiore became chief judge of New York's Court of Appeals.
On Wednesday, attorney Mitch Benson announced he would also run.
