A break-in at an unoccupied house caused quite the surprise in Stony Point yesterday.
Police say the intruder was a deer, apparently looking for a place to sleep.
Officers tell News 12 the animal broke through the glass door and was spotted by a neighbor who called 911. "The deer was inside the residence upon our arrival, and we utilized our best herding techniques and ushered the deer out the front door," says Stony Point Lt. Keith Williams.
Police say they don't believe the deer was hurt.
