Officials say a dead goose found in Burlington County tested positive for bird flu.

The goose was found with other geese this month in Pemberton Township.

The findings marked the first bird flu case in the county in over two years. There have been other cases recently around the state.

Residents are advised to avoid contact with birds, most notably sick or dead ones.

Pets should stay away as well.
