A murder suspect led police on a chase spanning Rockland County to New Jersey, and it was all captured on dashcam video.
Police say 45-year-old David Campos was wanted on a murder charge in Troy, located outside of Albany. On Monday, he allegedly led police on a chase starting on I-87 in Clarkstown, going through Rockland on the Palisades Parkway and concluding on New Jersey's Garden State Parkway.
At one point, Campos allegedly swerved into traffic to avoid cruisers trying to box him in, narrowly missing passing motorists. Police say speeds reached 100 mph during the pursuit.
The chase came to an end at a toll plaza on the Garden State in Secaucus, New Jersey. Police surrounded Campos' car and took him into custody.
Published reports say the victim was Campos' girlfriend. She is believed to have been stabbed and died early Monday morning.
Campos was expected to be extradited to New York after being processed in New Jersey.
