The damage left by Friday's nor'easter remained a lingering concern for residents in Yorktown Heights Tuesday, as they braced for another storm.
Massive trees smashed a utility pole, knocking out power to residents on Fieldstone Court during last week's storm. Crews chopped up the trees on Sunday to allow trapped residents access out of their neighborhood.
Many residents said they were still concerned about the dangers the dangling power lines and twisted trees pose to their homes and families.
They said they were fed up with waiting on their utility provider, NYSEG, to turn the lights on for tens of thousands of customers in Putnam and northern Westchester counties.
They also said they were told their power wouldn't be restored until Friday.
