The Westchester County Police Crime Scene Unit was on the campus of Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry yesterday.
There was no crime committed, but students who are interested in a career in criminal justice got a first-hand look at the tools investigators use to solve them.
Investigators took the students through how they solve crimes, and one student says it's nothing like you see on television. "There's definitely a lot of science involved with it. You know everything doesn't happen in the 60 minutes like you watch on a TV show. It's definitely more in-depth and time-consuming," says student Jose Blay.
The students who participated are currently enrolled in a crime scene investigation class and criminal justice.
