A car carrying three Croton-On-Hudson teens crashed in Cortlandt Monday, killing one boy and injuring two others.The one-car accident happened between Welcher Avenue and Montrose Station Road exits on Route 9. According to police, Christopher McDonough, the 17-year-old driver, hit a center median and was ejected from the car. McDonough was rushed to Westchester Medical Center where he later died. Two surviving teens are being treated at the hospital for back and neck injuries. Police say the teens had been drinking prior to the accident.The crash comes as state and local police wage a campaign to nab drunk drivers. The police plan to press charges against whoever provided alcohol to the teens.
