Crash, wildfire impacts parts of Interstate 80 in Morris County

The New Jersey Forest Fire Service says that a wildfire was reported near Mile Marker 41.6 in Parsippany-Troy Hills around 2 p.m.

A fiery crash, along with a wildfire, impacted traffic along Interstate 80 in Morris County on Tuesday.

The New Jersey Forest Fire Service says that a wildfire was reported near Mile Marker 41.6 in Parsippany-Troy Hills around 2 p.m. All lanes on I-80 West were temporarily closed for a time. Two lanes were reopened a short time later.

The fire comes following a fiery crash on the highway. Details were not immediately provided, but News 12 has obtained video showing a pickup truck and SUV on fire.

It was also not clear if the crash and the wildfire are related.
