A three-car crash on the Taconic State Parkway in West Mahopac, Putnam County, left at least one car completely destroyed and engulfed in flames Sunday around noon.
The southbound lanes were shut down, and traffic was diverted off the parkway.
The Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene, and footage from the incident shows nearly black plumes of smoke billowing from the wrecked car.
The cause of the crash and whether anyone was injured remain unknown.
