The Crane Road Bridge Replacement Project off the Bronx River Parkway in Scarsdale is finally complete after years of construction and traffic.
The bridge work, which had been ongoing since 2012, meant lane closures and traffic headaches for motorists.
Speaking near Exit 12 off the Bronx River Parkway Monday, County Executive Rob Astorino announced the completion of the $53 million bridge replacement project - the largest ever in Westchester.
The new bridge replaces a crumbling decades-old span.
The project is actually two bridges in one. One runs over the Bronx River Parkway, and the other over the Metro-North railroad tracks.
The original completion date for the bridge was April 2015, but officials say bad winter weather set the project back about six months.
