A Peekskill couple who was making a late night run for coffee on Route 6 is accusing state troopers of harassing them at a Dunkin Donuts in Cortlandt.
While his fiancé was in getting coffee, Ibezim decided to run inside also but left his car running. When he came out several state troopers confronted him and his fiancé, who taped the incident on a cell phone video camera. He was issued a parking ticket and another for leaving his running vehicle unattended.
Ibezim claims he wasn't even in the store for 10 seconds and feels he was unfairly targeted. He believes racial profiling was involved.
Ibezim feels that he was unfairly targeted and that racial profiling was involved. New York State Police Captain Michael Kopy says the trooper has a different story and, therefore, the state police will investigate the incident thoroughly.
Despite this, Chris Ibezim still feels he was not treated right. There's no word from the state police on how long the investigation will take.
