A couple from Sullivan County is getting its dog back thanks to a News 12 viewer.
Annie and Ed Schneider, of Wurstboro, said a local shelter wanted $300 to release their new dog Ziggy, but they couldn't afford the payment.
The pup had gotten loose and was captured by the Town of Mamakating.
A News 12 viewer saw their story on air and decided to pay the fee.
