Westchester County Executive George Latimer partnered with Gullotta House Wednesday morning to help families in need for Thanksgiving.
The event took place in Briarcliff Manor. Officials say the spirit of giving back to the community is more important than ever this year.
"We have deliveries that are going to nursing homes, to people who can't get out of the house, COVID restricted because of the pandemic,” says Mathew Gullotta, of Gullotta House. ”And we have volunteers driving to people's homes, and people coming.
News 12 is told volunteers placed all meals in the trunks of vehicles to avoid potential exposure to coronavirus.
