A former police officer on parole for killing his wife is now charged with choking a woman in Tappan.
Police say Rocco Cuccio, 61, attacked the victim on Sunday.
Cuccio, a former officer for the Port Authority, spent 13 years in prison for killing his wife Janyce at their Valley Cottage home in 2000.
Bail was set at $2,000, but Cuccio remains in custody because the arrest is a parole violation.
