(AP) -- State police say a man driving with two children in his car was legally drunk when troopers stopped him at a sobriety checkpoint.
They arrested Paul Robertson around 12:15 a.m. Sunday on the Bear Mountain Parkway in Peekskill after they say he registered a blood-alcohol content of .09.
The 38-year-old Croton-on-Hudson man is charged with an aggravated DWI offense that involves driving drunk with a passenger under 16.
It's called Leandra's Law, after an 11-year-old girl killed when a woman drunkenly drove a station wagon full of children into a Manhattan highway wreck.
Robertson is free pending a July 14 court appearance. Information on his lawyer wasn't immediately available.
