Cooler, but sunny weather is expected for most of the week across Long Island.
The weather is expected to be mostly dry for much of the week, but we are tracking some rain possibilities by Wednesday.
That rain is expected to begin Tuesday evening and last into Wednesday morning. But stormy conditions are not expected.
Temperatures throughout the week will see highs in the 70s, with lows dipping to the upper 50s.
OVERNIGHT: Mostly clear and cool night. Lows in the mid-50s.
TUESDAY: Mostly sunny at the start of the day, with clouds increasing in the afternoon and a chance of rain showers at night. Highs near the mid-70s. Lows in the upper 50s.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy with a few rain showers possible. It may be a little breezy during the day. Highs in the low 70s. Lows in the upper 50s.
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny, warmer, and dry. Highs in the upper 70s. Lows near 60 degrees.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny, nice and cool. Highs in the mid-70s. Lows in the upper 50s.
