Almost a dozen convicted sex offenders who preyed on children were taken off the streets of Westchester Wednesday for good.

The 11 men never expected when they visited their parole office in White Plains that they would be on their way to being deported. It is part of the program Operation Predator, developed by the Department of Homeland Security's Immigration and Customs Enforcement also known as ICE. All the men are illegal immigrants and could not be deported until after their sentence and appeal process was over.

The deportation process could take months, but all will be sent back to their homelands with notification of the heinous crimes they committed. Since Operation Predator began in 2003, nearly 500 child molesters have been busted across the state and deported.
