A Dutchess County man convicted of killing his parents and brother, as well as the attempted murder of his sister, will not be released from prison Monday as scheduled.
Brian Britton, 50, has served 34 years in prison and was granted parole. The Dutchess County DA has asked the parole board to reconsider that decision.
The state Corrections Department says new evidence has resulted in Britton being served a temporary suspension of his release date.
The department says Britton will be served with evidence and papers, and the parole board will do an official review and determine the next steps.
Britton's surviving sister has also come out against him being released on parole.
