A construction worker died on the job at Yonkers Raceway Thursday.
Although, there is a lot of construction at the raceway with the installation of the new video lottery terminals, the worker was not at the main construction site. Police say the 42-year-old electrician was working outside a paddock at the raceway. He was trying to break a wall with a sledgehammer when he collapsed from an apparent heart attack at 7:30 a.m.
The worker was taken to St. Joseph?s Medical Center where he died.
