A huge milestone was celebrated in Newburgh Thursday toward the construction of the school district’s new Career and Technical Education Center.
District administration says the final steel beam is now in place for the 132,000-square-foot building on West Street.
The center will provide education to Newburgh Enlarged City School District students in more than 20 career and technical programs to prepare them for college and the workforce.
The building is next to the Newburgh Free Academy Main campus and is expected to be finished next summer.
