Getting around Dobbs Ferry and Ardsley has gotten a bit more difficult.
Construction work is now shutting down lanes on the Ashford Avenue Bridge. It's all part of a $17.9 million project that also includes rebuilding the exit and entrance ramps.
The bridge, which connects Ardsley and Dobbs Ferry, has been reduced to one lane in each direction between Southfield Avenue and Saw Mill River Road.
Crews are demolishing the southern portion of the bridge so motorists will be traveling on the northern portion of the bridge.
The new traffic pattern will last for a year. Next June, they'll switch as crews demolish the northern side of the bridge.
The project is scheduled to be finished by 2018.
