A special concert to benefit kids was enjoyed by classical music lovers in Purchase on Sunday.
The Church of St. James the Less and The Children's Aid Society, in collaboration with Westchester Reform Temple, present their 9th Annual Children's Benefit Concert at SUNY Purchase. The money raised helps send kids to camp.
The program, entitled "The American Experience," included The Canadian Chamber Orchestra of New York City and area youth choirs. "We were here last year; it was lots of fun, the kids are terrific, the music is really nice and it's wonderful to see family members and people here supporting the kids and rooting them on," says Alan Steinfield, of Scarsdale.
Many of the kids who benefit are part of the after-school academy at the Edward Williams School in Mount Vernon.
