The power is back on for hundreds of Yonkers families who were left in the dark.
Con Edison crews spent Friday working to restore power in Westchester County after powerful winds toppled power lines.
Thursday night's storm left electrical poles and debris in the county's streets.
The most severe damage centered on Yonkers Avenue near Ridgewood Avenue.
Overall, about 500 customers in Yonkers were without power Friday morning. Residents in the area said that the lack of electricity affected their Fourth of July plans, but they made the best of it.
There were no reports of any injuries.
