Following last week's devastating home explosion in Wappingers Falls, communities are banding together to assist the victims.

Multiple GoFundMe pages have been established in response to the incident. One of the initial GoFundMe campaigns News 12 reported on has garnered nearly $40,000 in donations.

Since then, friends and family members have created additional GoFundMe pages to aid their loved ones.

The Wappingers Falls PBA is also collecting monetary donations for the affected families, as well as for the fire from Brookside a few weeks ago.

Payments can be made in person or through the department's Venmo account.
