The DeWitt Clinton softball team fell to the loser's bracket in the Public School Athletic League softball playoffs with its recent loss to James Madison.
Sixth-seed Clinton struggled during the second round. The offense couldn't stop Madison pitcher Jamie O'Brien, who racked up 12 strikeouts.
The third-seed Madison Lady Knights began circling the bases, scoring five runs in the fifth inning. Madison went on to a 9-1 victory.
Clinton faces Midwood next in the loser's bracket.
