The fourth annual Clear the Shelters event was held at the Yonkers Animal Shelter to bring awareness to animals in need of a home.
More than 90 animal shelters are participating in the event.
The Clear the Shelters event will also be held Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., but the Yonkers Animal Shelter is open year-round for adoptions.
