WHAT TO KNOW:
  • Cold and sunny today.
  • There could be a few flurries or sprinkles on Sunday, otherwise it’s cloudy and chilly.
  • Wintry mix is expected overnight Sunday into Monday morning. Possible morning Storm Watch. The snow is just for the Hudson Valley
  • Chance for Rain daily through Thursday.
  • Bitter cold possible next weekend.
It's a clear and cold Saturday, but we're forecasting messy weather for the next few days. Here's the latest on the next storm.
It's a dry and cold Saturday morning, but the wind is lighter today than the past few days. Despite the sunshine and lighter breeze, high temperatures will struggle to get above freezing. A few puddles from the rain earlier this week remain so watch for ice on untreated parking lots and sidewalks.
There is more cloud cover for Sunday and it's possible one or 2 clouds produce a brief snow shower. No accumulation is expected and with high temperatures near 40, it's possible we end up with sprinkles instead.
Overnight Sunday our next storm arrives. North and west of the city, this will start off as snow or freezing rain. There is a risk of slippery weather during the Monday morning commute. Check back tomorrow for more details on this next storm. Temperatures will warm into the 50s by Monday afternoon, so this will certainly be a mainly rain event for the entire tristate.
There is a chance for rain Tuesday morning, and then another storm arrives Wednesday night into Thursday morning. This looks like an all-rain event, but a major cooldown arrives for the end of next weekend.
