Clean, quiet streets and low crime all within a stone?s throw of Manhattan make Riverdale a place residents are proud to call home.
The northern Bronx neighborhood boasts parks, rivers and friendly people. The roads are lined with mom-and-pop stores and there is a strong influence of the Jewish culture. The unique neighborhood has managed to grow without losing all of its small-town charm.
Homeowners say the area continues to expand, with an influx of residents and a real estate boon. The city is upgrading the local sewer and water lines to accommodate the population.
