A West Nyack man is facing multiple charges, including a DWI, after authorities said he drove an SUV through two fences and crashed into a home.
Clarkstown police responded to reports of a car inside a house in New City on Friday just before 1 a.m.
They say police at the scene found an SUV lodged into the lower part of a home and its tires were still spinning.
The driver, Jonathan Barnes, who police said was the only one in the SUV, had to be taken out of the vehicle by emergency personnel through the back window.
The person inside the home told police he narrowly escaped injury while he was laying on his bed and climbed over the hood of the SUV to avoid being trapped.
Barnes was arraigned in Clarkstown Justice Court and released pending a future court appearance.
