CityMD says that it will start closing offices 90 minutes earlier starting Monday to protect the safety and health of staff and doctors amid a surge in COVID-19 cases.
A line was seen at the Eastchester CityMD at 7 a.m., even though it doesn't open until 9 a.m.
CityMD said in a statement that it tried to avoid reducing its hours by adding more than 1,000 additional health care provide, but it's still overwhelmed by the patient volume.
Patients will be turned away if they’re not in line by 90 minutes before closing. This mean that in Eastchester, people would have to be there by 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or 4:30 p.m. on the weekend.
