City Board of Elections readies for Election Day after record-breaking Early Voting period

Polls open at 6 a.m. Tuesday throughout the city, but Board of Elections officials the busiest times at polling sites are expected just before 9 a.m. and just after 4 p.m.

The New York City Board of Elections is preparing for Election Day on Tuesday.

Polls open at 6 a.m. Tuesday throughout the city, but Board of Elections officials the busiest times at polling sites are expected just before 9 a.m. and just after 4 p.m.

The NYC Board of Elections announced Monday that the final day of early voting on Sunday set a new record for the most votes on any single early voting day, with 149,319 voters casting their ballot.

Polls close at 9 p.m. Tuesday night, but those in line at that time will be allowed to vote.
