The New York City Housing Development Corporation (NYCHDC) is renovating two apartment buildings on Grand Street in Morris Heights. The city agency says it will spend about $232 million to repair housing in the Bronx and citywide. The NYCHDC is the agency that finances, refurbishes and builds affordable housing throughout the city and the boroughs. The corporation says it is spending about $8 million to repair the two buildings on Grand Street. The buildings have a total of 83 apartments and none of the tenants? rents will be raised after the work is completed. The New York City Housing Development Corporation says it?s working on future developments in the Bronx.
