Chester police have identified the man killed in a car crash during yesterday's icy conditions.
Officials say the victim is 32-year-old Raymond Heine, from the village of Florida.
Police say Heine, who was a newlywed with an infant daughter, was headed home and was a few miles away when his car skid on black ice and crashed into a utility pole on Route 94 in Chester.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
Yesterday's icy conditions also caused a second fatal crash in Wallkill that killed a 22-year-old from Middletown.
