A Chester official accused of shooting a DoorDash driver earlier this month has been indicted on over a dozen charges, including attempted murder.
Chester Highway Superintendent John Reilly allegedly shot the 24-year-old driver who was lost on May 2.
A statement from the attorney said in part, "Mr. Reilly's intention was not to cause harm but to warn this man off his property after he had resisted his requests to leave."
The victim's family says the driver was just trying to charge his phone because he was lost.
In addition to attempted murder, Reilly is charged with assault and criminal possession of a firearm.
