The spill at the Formaggio Cheese Plant occurred when two cleaning agents were accidentally mixed, a company official said.
All 330 employees were forced to evacuate.
The immediate area's air quality is being monitored.
News 12 is still awaiting word to learn the current conditions of those that were hospitalized.
