Chef Peter Kelly, of X-20, and his team prepared more than 350 gourmet meals that were picked up by the maintenance crew from the Municipal Housing Authority and hand-delivered them to seniors over the age of 55.
"It feels good because sometimes these people don't have anyone," says Jason Finney, a maintenance crew worker. "So, for us to be out here to share our time it feels real good.
The Joint Venture-X-Giving also honors late rapper DMX, who was a former public housing resident. DMX was known for giving out food to those in need throughout Yonkers during the holiday season.
