Students from the Peekskill School District prepared a healthy breakfast at a new teaching kitchen at the Hudson Valley Hospital Center in Cortlandt Manor.
The students learned under Chef Peter Kelly at the kitchen named after him.
Hospital officials say the kitchen uses organic food and will teach the students to make healthy choices leading to reduced health costs.
They say classes range from general cooking to preparing foods for those with health issues like diabetes and cancer.
Officials say this is the only hospital in Westchester to offer healthy cooking classes.
