Protesters in Chappaqua are voicing their disapproval Thursday over President Bush?s new strategy for Iraq.
The group is reaching out to Chappaqua neighbor Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) after Bush unveiled a new plan Wednesday to send more than 20,000 additional troops to Iraq. The president said he made a mistake by not ordering in more troops last year. His new strategy calls for Iraqi officials to beef up their forces and assume responsibility for security by November to end sectarian violence. Democrats are voicing a strong disapproval to the president's plan, saying the only real solution is diplomacy.
The protesters say they want the lawmakers they helped elect to keep their campaign promises and end the war.
